Major Media Sponsorship for 2003

A Leveraged Marketing Platform

Cinco de Mayo 2003 Reno presented an incredible opportunity to leverage your advertising and marketing budget into a substantial media campaign (currently valued at over $400,000).

For example:

  • A $5,000 sponsorship delivered approximately          $80 of media for every $1 spent on the                         Cinco de Mayo Sponsorship.

These media sponsors, which will include television, newspapers, magazines, Internet, and public relations campaigns, are all onboard for Cinco de Mayo Reno 2003. The campaign is also targeted at both English and Spanish speaking audiences.

Reno Area Radio

Lotus Radio - KOZZ - Reno's Classic Rock; Pure Rock 104.5; KHXR - The Mountain; KPTT - Reno's home for ESPN Radio and the Wolfpack; and KHIT - Classic Country are the official radio network for Cinco de Mayo.  With over 200,000 listeners, Lotus Radio knows how to celebrate Cinco de Mayo !  Look for live remotes from downtown Reno.

Radio TriColor - Live remotes and lots of spots for our sponsors on this leading Spanish radio station.

Timetable:  Spots to be run from February through the May dates of the Cinco de Mayo Reno Event.

Market Through Culture ... Not Just Through Language

One of Many - One of Few

In our media campaign, our sponsors are encouraged to pick events for sponsorship within Cinco de Mayo Reno. All of the sponsors (Platinum and Founding Sponsor Levels Only) get their logos featured on a video billboard at the end of television advertisements or in a list in our printed advertisements.

Obviously, such a list includes many sponsors.  With separate event sponsorship, our sponsors become one of a few sponsors of an event.  This gives our sponsors much more focus on their products and services and branding not only with Cinco de Mayo but also with specific events ... stages, car shows, family events, business events like the Farmer's Market, or headliner concert events.
